Hair stylist works overtime for singer's 'do
Tanya Foster wouldn't open up her Fishers hair salon, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, late on a Sunday night for just anyone looking for a new hairdo. But Foster, who co-owns the shop with Megan Schilling, unlocked the business recently when singer Kid Rock and his backup singer, Stacy Michelle, wanted to get ready for an appearance on the "Bob & Tom Show." Kid Rock didn't pull Kiss Kiss Bang Bang's name out of the air -- he's a friend of Foster's beau, Mike "Cheez" Brown, who works in the music industry with Linkin Park, Korn, Dirty Heads and others. Brown, who splits his time between Indiana and California, helped get Linkin Park's lead singer, Chester Bennington, to the Indianapolis 500 in 2005. Foster and Brown already had said goodnight to Kid Rock after drinks and dessert at Ruth's Chris when the phone rang with the last-minute request to open the salon. Foster said they were at the shop until around 3 a.m. When Kid Rock left the shop, at 8395 E. 116th St. in Fishers Town Plaza, his hair was trimmed, braided and ready for the road. The next day, Foster went with the band to Dayton, Ohio, to help get the singers and musicians ready for the concert.
