After working 6:30 to 5:00 on Monday and driving 10 hours/600 miles, I got to meet Kid Rock at the Waffle House in Duluth GA. It was everything that I thought it would be but better. I got to the Waffle House at 3:30 am on Tuesday and went inside to have breakfast. I hung out inside with my 10 year old son while my husband and 7 year old son slept in the car. It went downhill a little when the regional manager for Waffle house arrived at around 8 am. My son had fell asleep in the car next to me when the regional dude walked in and told me that I had to wait outside with my son. So I grabbed a couple of blankets and went outside to sit on the side walk. People started to arrive and a lined formed. I asked the manager what the plan was to handle the crowd. He really didn't have one but was very quick to inform me that there was going to be a $50 fee per autograph. no big deal it was going to go to charity. But at noon and after alot more fans showed up the waffle house started to fill up with "Big Shots" driving very expensive cars with the families in tow expecting to show up and get inside to meet and greet the Kid before all of us. I was starting to get upset but I thought whatever I was going to meet Bobby. Then the most amazing thing happened. Kid Rock showed up and ordedred that the waffle house be cleared out for his fans. When we was allowed in i was showed a booth and damn i felt like the luckiest person on earth. But it gets better. When I was getting my two items autographed I said crap I forgot to put my money in the collection. I started to get my money out and Kid told me to put it away. Today was on him and he was going to take care of it all. You know, I was crazy about him but after seeing what a truly great person he was I am even more enamored with him. That is my story. It may not be much to some but to me it will be the best time of my life.
