In a trial that was mercifully brief, Kid Rock (born Robert James Ritchie) won a one-day civil trial in Pontiac over a woman's claim that KR roughed her up outside his Clarkston recording studio.
A jury of four men and three women was selected, opening arguments were made and testimony followed in Oakland County Circuit Court. By 5 p.m., it was all over.
Kelly Ann Kozlowski of Novi sued Rock, following a March 8, 2007, incident.
Authorities in suburban Detroit investigated her claims, but no criminal charges were brought.
So Kozlowski filed an emotional distress lawsuit seeking $25,000 in damages from Ritchie and couldn't come to an agreement on a settlement.
The jurors decided she had nothing coming.
